CARNEGIE HALL PERFORMANCE-MARCH 30

Three of our piano students will be among the performers in a NEPMTA Honors Recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The performance will be held on Saturday March 30 beginning at 3:30 PM. Congratulations to Ethan Mariano, Tyler Mariano, and Rocco DeMelfi. Ethan will play "Toccata Brillante" by Dennis Alexander, Rocco will play "Spinning Song" by Albert Ellmenreich, and Tyler will play "Malaguena" by Ernesto Lecuona. Way to go!!!

KIRBY CENTER PERFORMANCE

Congratulations to 13-year-old Ali Aijaz of Mountaintop, who will be one of the performers in a NEPMTA Honors Recital at The Kirby Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, April 14. The show will begin at 11:00 AM. Ali will perform Chopin's Polonnaise in A Major (Military). Tickets for the performance, entilted "88 Keys and 24 Songs", are available online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Kirby Box Office.

Please note the date. Our spring recital has been moved to Saturday April 6, 2013 at MMI Preparatory School. Showtimes TBA. All students, whether performing or not, are strongly encouraged to attend. Please register with your teacher.

5-YEAR NATIONAL GUILD WINNERS

Congratulations to Sofia Skuba and Benjamin Ferko for successfully passing their fifth National Piano Guild Auditions. Their individual photos will be published in the Winter issue of "Piano Guild Notes", the national magazine of the Guild. Well done, Sofia and Ben!!!!!

FRANKIE SERATCH SINGS ON DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW

Frankie Seratch, 12, was chosen to sing on Late Night with David Letterman on December 15, 2010. Frankie, along with 7 other young people, sang backup for 60s pop star Ronnie Spector on the show, which aired from the famed Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Way to go Frankie!!
